Course Overview
Oxburgh Hall is a Jacobean moated country house, built for the Catholic Sir Edmund Bedingfield and his family. The property dates from 1482 and has many interesting features, from its 16th-century priest’s hole to its extensive, neo-Gothic remodelling. Its formal gardens are complemented by a kitchen garden with walled orchard, and there are woodlands where the river attracts dragonflies in summer. Lunches may be purchased in the tearoom, and packed lunches eaten outside.
