Our need to understand the relationship between humans and technology has never felt so urgent. This day school considers the ethical impact of some of the most prevalent new technologies through questions such as: what do we mean by ‘technology’? Where is the boundary between ‘self’ and ‘technology’? What does ‘living a good life’ look like with modern technologies? We will focus our examination of these questions on three technologies: social media; the role of algorithms and Artificial Intelligence.
