Between Breathless in 1960 and 1967’s Weekend, Jean-Luc Godard made a series of films which revolutionised the form and techniques of filmmaking. This course will explore this astonishing collection of films and analyse how they expanded upon and innovated against the Hollywood norm of cinema, together with how they influenced other filmmakers. Please note that in tribute to Godard, this course has a beginning, a middle and an end — but not necessarily in that order!
